Say goodbye to loose cables with aquarium dryboxes
Throughout our extensive experience of marine and freshwater reefkeeping, we and many other hobbyists have struggled with something other than water chemistry, the dreaded cable management. In this blog post we will dive into how our latest creation that counters that.
The benefits it can bring to your aquarium
These bespoke built boxes will provide safe housing for your valued. and expensive, marine and freshwater equipment. There is nothing worse than realizing one of your pumps have failed, or perhaps one of your lights has slowly started flickering, more often than not it can be due to corrosion of one of your power ballasts that lay out in the open, waiting for the elements to come and attack them!
Thats where why we have introduced these to the market, a sturdy, safe and reliable resolve to this issue that will shelter your electrics and irradicate the risk of salt water creeping into your electrical connections.
Build Process
The process will always start with a careful measure-up, ensuring we measure twice and cut once! We always have to take into account where vent holes may be necessary for heat to escape, followed by sufficient holes to thread your cables and ballasts through.
Here at Aquarium Connections, we invest heavily into premium tools, and that gives us the means to design and create solutions for modern day issues. One of these tools is our in house CNC bed, an absolutely vital tool that plays a huge role in creating our dry boxes. It starts with a full sheet of our 15mm foamex board, we then secure it into the machine and begin the programming.
Once we have our desired measurements and specifications laid out on our coding, we input that into the machine and within 20 minutes we have our pieces cut to size, ready to be secured together safely with marine grade screws. We work to the “mm” and that means whatever size you request is the exact size you shall recieve, the beauty of manufacturing items like this on our CNC, is that it removes any human error and provides a perfectly snug fit, everytime.
